GUIDED IMAGERY
Guided imagery involves using the imagination to create mental images to bring about emotional and physical healing.
The term can be used to refer to:
* visualisation techniques
* hypnotic suggestion
* directed daydreaming
* storytelling
* dialoguing with images
These are effective therapeutic methods because they bypass the usual conscious thinking processes to create quicker and more effective healing effects.
At the least, evoking positive mental images can have a harmonious effect on our beliefs, demeanour and attitudes.
At best, the use of positive imagery has beneficial physiological effects.

One great method is to allow an image to emerge undirected from your unconscious.
This image could relate to a past incident, a current issue or a future event.
You can then have a chat with this image, allow it to give you a message or tell you its story.
The messages you receive may resonate immediately or only make sense to you some time later.
