Reading as Preparation for Meditation
Select a quotation, a prayer or a phrase from a book that resonates with you. Perhaps you find it inspiring, profound, comforting or even amusing.
Then use the phrase either as a kind of mantra or as tool for reflection to bring about peace of mind, manifestation or positive change.
This exercise can be useful if you would like to work on a particular quality. For example, you may wish to be more creative or less angry or more confident. Find a quotation, prayer or phrase that matches the quality you want to create more of in your life. Then use it as a tool for meditation.
Relax your mind and then allow ideas or insights related to your chosen quotation to enter your mind.
